3. The Personal Information We Collect

The personal information we collect depends on how you interact with us. It generally includes information you give us directly and information recorded automatically as you use the Site:

Contact details — your name, billing address, shipping address, phone number and email address.

Order and transaction details — the items you view, add to your cart or wishlist, and the products you purchase, return, exchange or cancel, together with your order history.

Payment details — your form of payment, transaction details and payment confirmation. Your full card number is captured directly by our payment providers, not by us (see Section 6).

Account information — your username, password and saved preferences if you create an account.

Communications — the information you include when you contact us, leave a review, or send a customer-service enquiry.

Device and usage information — your IP address, device, browser and network details, and information about how you navigate and interact with the Site, including through cookies and similar technologies.

4. How We Collect Your Information

We collect personal information directly from you (for example when you place an order, register an account, subscribe to our newsletter or contact us); automatically through the Site and the Shopify platform, including via cookies and similar technologies; from our service providers when they collect or process information on our behalf; and occasionally from our partners or other third parties. Where it is reasonable and practicable, we collect personal information directly from you.

5. How We Use Your Information

We use personal information only for purposes connected with running our business and serving you, including to:

Process, fulfil and dispatch your orders, and arrange delivery, returns and exchanges.

Create and manage your account, remember your preferences and tailor your shopping experience.

Send you order confirmations, dispatch and delivery updates, and respond to your enquiries.

Send you marketing and promotional communications where you have consented, with an easy opt-out at any time.

Authenticate your account and detect, investigate and prevent fraud or other unsafe or unlawful activity.

Improve the Site, our product range and our services.

Comply with our legal, tax and regulatory obligations and respond to valid legal requests.

6. Payment Processing

When you make a purchase, your payment is handled securely by third-party payment providers integrated with our Shopify-powered store. Depending on the method you select, this may include Shopify Payments, PayPal or other providers displayed at checkout. Your card details are transmitted directly to the relevant provider over an encrypted connection; FB Workwear does not collect or store your complete card number. Each provider handles your information under its own privacy policy.

7. How We Disclose Your Information

We do not sell or rent your personal information. We disclose it only where necessary to operate our business or to comply with the law, including to:

Shopify, and other vendors and service providers who perform functions on our behalf — such as hosting, IT, payment processing, data analytics, customer support and cloud storage.

Delivery and fulfilment partners so your order can be shipped and tracked.

Business and marketing partners that help us advertise to you, who use your information under their own privacy notices.

Third parties where you direct, request or consent to the disclosure (for example, social media or login integrations).

Our affiliates or others within our corporate group.

Government, regulatory or law-enforcement bodies, and in connection with a business transaction such as a merger or sale, where legally permitted or required.

8. Our Relationship with Shopify

The Site is hosted by Shopify, which collects and processes information about your access to and use of the Site in order to provide and improve it. Information you submit may be transmitted to and shared with Shopify and certain third parties, who may be located in countries other than where you live. We also use certain Shopify enhanced features that draw on data about your interactions with our store, other merchants and Shopify. To learn more about how Shopify handles personal information and the rights you may have, you can review the Shopify Consumer Privacy Policy at privacy.shopify.com.

9. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

Our Site uses cookies and similar technologies to make it work, keep items in your cart, remember your preferences, understand how the Site is used, and support relevant advertising. These fall into essential cookies (needed for core functions like checkout), analytics cookies (which help us measure and improve performance) and marketing cookies. You can manage or disable cookies through your browser settings, although some features of the Site may not work correctly if you do.

10. Security and Retention of Your Information

Our Site is secured with SSL encryption, and we take reasonable technical and organisational steps to protect personal information from misuse, loss and unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. However, no method of transmission or storage over the internet can be guaranteed to be completely secure, and any information you send to us is at your own risk. We retain personal information only for as long as it is needed for the purposes described in this policy, or for as long as we are required to keep it under applicable laws (such as tax and consumer-law record-keeping obligations), after which we take reasonable steps to securely destroy or de-identify it.

11. Overseas Disclosure

Some of the providers we rely on — including Shopify and our payment, hosting and analytics providers — may store or process data on servers located outside Australia, such as in the United States. Where your personal information is disclosed to an overseas recipient, we take reasonable steps to ensure it is handled consistently with the Australian Privacy Principles. Where information is transferred out of the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, we rely on recognised transfer mechanisms such as Standard Contractual Clauses where applicable.

12. Your Rights and Choices

Depending on where you live, you may have some or all of the following rights in relation to your personal information. These rights are not absolute and may not apply in every case.

Access — request access to the personal information we hold about you.

Correction — ask us to correct information that is inaccurate, out of date or incomplete.

Deletion — request that we delete personal information we hold about you, subject to legal exceptions.

Portability — request a copy of your information, or that we transfer it to a third party, in certain circumstances.

Marketing — opt out of marketing communications at any time using the unsubscribe link in our emails.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details in Section 16. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request, and you may use an authorised agent where permitted by law. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights and will respond within a reasonable period.

13. Direct Marketing and Opt-Out

If you have opted in, we may send you news, offers and product updates by email. You can withdraw your consent at any time by clicking “unsubscribe” in any marketing email, or by emailing Info@fbworkwear.com.au. We will still send essential transactional messages relating to orders you have placed.

14. Third-Party Links

Our Site may contain links to websites operated by third parties. We are not responsible for the content or privacy practices of those websites, and this Privacy Policy does not apply to them. We encourage you to review the privacy policy of any website you visit through a link from our Site.

15. Children’s Privacy

Our Site and products are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will take reasonable steps to delete it.

16. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology or legal obligations. The current version will always be available on this page, with the “Last updated” date shown at the top.
